That’s the razor thin margin by which former 1st District Chairman Russ Moulton was elected temporary chair in Henrico, and slating was prevented this evening in what had to be the boldest attempt to slate since Virginia Beach.
This just goes to show how every vote counts, folks. The battle now goes into Portsmouth in the 3rd, where district chairman Chris Stearns should be able to hold on to the unit committee and carry himself to victory in a hotly contested race. No question that the backlash against slating is on, and in a big way.
44 delegates now head to the 3rd District convention, and 328 head to the 7th District convention.
