Medicaid McAuliffe has in two quick months become one of the most sickening political players in Virginia history.
Sure, the Gov wants to expand Obamacare to lots of people who aren’t poor and add at least a quarter-billion dollars of costs to Virginians that the Federal Government won’t cover (the secret 10% we’ll be required to pay for in two quick years).
But his sickening claim is that the result of Republicans not being all excited for increasing welfare – people will die.
Without it, McAuliffe said, “hospitals will close and people will die.”
Isn’t that hysterical? McAuliffe says that the status quo will kill people. If we don’t change right now, people will be collapsing in the streets!
My big question is when will all this dying start? Next Thursday? Noon on Saturday? How about Columbus Day? I got it! Friday the 13th!
If keeping Medicaid where it is right now will kill people, why haven’t they started dying yet? Why not tell us how many hundreds and thousands are dead right now because Medicaid didn’t get expanded 10 years ago?
Surely the Press will follow-up these pronouncements of McAuliffe with questions for more details? He made the claim that people will die. How many? Who are they? When will they start dying? Have they been dying all along and he never noticed until yesterday?
C’mon, reporters. Do your job! Ask for details.
Ask how keeping things the way they are will suddenly result in mass casualties.
Oh….you mean McAuliffe doesn’t have any facts to back up his prediction of mass homicides by Republican legislators?
He made it up to get a headline?
And the press gave it too him without so much as a question?
Sorry, T-Mac. Nathan Jessup you ain’t. The “follow orders or people die” scene is good for a movie, but you are no Jack Nicholson.
Show me these deaths caused by Republicans. I can handle the truth, if you ever start telling it.
