The answer is actually quite simple. It’s because Terry McAuliffe’s goons at Planned Parenthood are the only ones driving the narrative in the press.
Look, we all know that Ken Cuccinelli is a solid as they come on protecting human life. Of course, Planned Parenthood knows this too… which is why they are so very keen on making sure the Cuccinelli doesn’t put their multi-million dollar business at risk.
…but are you hearing anyone in the pro-life community stand up for Ken Cuccinelli?
Me neither.
Why is that, you ask? Some of it is tactical — Cuccinelli having championed life as a state senator probably doesn’t feel as if he really needs to go out on the stump and re-explain his record of public service — and yet some of it is a simple absence from those who claim to be champions on the issue. The battlefield has literally been conceded. So instead of getting a good ol’ fashioned policy romp, we get… nothing, zip, nada.

When it comes to the war on women, McAuliffe has certainly unleashed the dogs of war. Too bad women in the womb aren’t getting the same sort of vociferous defense from our side, and that’s a shame. It’s a battle that by rights the pro-abortion side of the fence should be losing in insanely big ways… yet for lack of engagement, the pro-abortion lobbyists are winning the day.
Personally, I’d love to see that turn around and have some real conversations at to how far McAuliffe is willing to repay his handlers. If the last five years of the Obama administration have proven anything, it’s that Planned Parenthood always collects its due.
