Virginia’s police officers support Ken Cuccinelli and E.W. Jackson (Times-News).
Virginia Republican candidate for governor, state Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, has been endorsed by the Virginia Police Benevolent Association (PBA).
“The Virginia PBA is proud to endorse Ken Cuccinelli for Virginia governor. Ken is committed to making strong, effective law enforcement a priority in his campaign and we look forward to working with him into the future,” said Virginia PBA President Joe Woloszyn. “A vote for Ken Cuccinelli is a vote for the men and women of law enforcement and the citizens we serve.”
Cuccinelli said the group’s endorsement is “particularly meaningful to me” in part because of his role as state attorney general.

The Virginia PBA also endorsed Republican E.W. “Earl” Jackson for lieutenant governor over Democrat Ralph Northam.
For those of us Virginians who came here from out-of-state (especially the northeast), there are few endorsements that hit home more than the police endorsement. This is particularly important in the eastern part of the state, which uses police forces more often for law enforcement (and where far more northeastern natives like myself call home). For Cuccinelli and Jackson, this is the ultimate trump card against any “extremism” nonsense thrown at them by the Democrats.
As they said themselves: “A vote for Ken Cuccinelli is a vote for the men and women of law enforcement and the citizens we serve.” Ditto for Jackson.
Take that, Terry and Ralph.
