Cuccinelli For Governor Campaign Strategist Chris LaCivita today released the following statement after the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce informed both campaigns of the rules for its September 25 debate, which will be co-hosted by NBC 4 and moderated by Chuck Todd. Due to the urging of the McAuliffe campaign, the Chamber today announced that both candidates will be allowed to bring extensive notes to the podium and will have the option of conferring with staff members during commercial breaks.?
“Terry McAuliffe is so afraid to be on stage with Ken Cuccinelli that he won’t participate in debates without notes and the chance to confer with staff. Given the fact that he has been unable to unveil legislation in front of reporters or the public, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that McAuliffe is unwilling to be alone on stage with Ken Cuccinelli for even an hour. ?
Still to be determined is whether the questions will be multiple choice.
