You’ve probably seen the those crawls on your TV screen that say your cable or satellite provider is about to drop a channel because of a disagreement with a content provider. They seem to come out of nowhere and, just as soon as they appear, they vanish as the two sides grudgingly come to some sort of agreement (which will be reflected in your bill…thanks for playing).

In this segment, Scott Lee and Andrew Moylan of the National Taxpayers Union discuss legislation that would:

…go a long way toward remedying the damaging wars of negotiation that have left millions of consumers blacked out from the content they desire. Importantly, they would do so without resorting to further bureaucratic interference or government intervention.
