Hannity Tweets for Allen
By Norman Leahy | Thursday, December 29th, 2011 | Politics, VirginiaIn his press release yesterday, former GOP Senate candidate Tim Donner noted that one of the reasons he was leaving the race was the overwhelming institutional support behind George Allen.
We can add to that list national talk show hosts. Sean Hannity went to bat for Allen on Twitter, asking people to “Help us support @GeorgeAllenVA in VA and win back control of the U.S. Senate!” and included a link to Allen’s campaign donation page.
Hannity has more than 215,000 followers on Twitter.

Hannity is an establishment Rino.. No surprises here. This is a story?
Breaking news: Bill O’Reilly just passed gas while thinking about George Allen.
Full story at 11:00.
My gosh, keep it up. Hannity is a RINO? I have trouble listening to the guy because everything coming out of his mouth is so partisan and Republican Party approved.
I do not believe that Tim Donner dropped because Hannity tweeted for George Allen. It is probably a culmination of acts that just so happen to climax coincidently with Hannity’s tweet.
When the press calls for a debate with just two candidates (Allen v. Kaine), press falling over with obvious prejudice and other similar circumstances, there will probably be more people drop as we see how our political process works.
Hannity is a RINO? Since all he does is repeat things he hears Limbaugh say on his show, does that make Rush a RINO too?
Yes Steve, and Mark Levin is starting to sound like one. Levin and Hannity both wax poetic for Allen.. Total rino tools.
At this point, Turbo, it might take less time to list the people who are “Real Republicans” than for you to list RINOs. After you and Ron Paul who else is there?
Hannity is nowhere near the radio talent that Limbaugh is, nor does he have the same intellectual capabilities. Hannity is a walking Republican cliche. He also handles callers he disagrees with in a hamhanded manner. Levin- while not the on air equal of Limbaugh is by far the smartest guy on the air and I enjoy his persona and his focus on the the Constitution along with the intellectual underpinnings behind conservatism.
I’m most disappointed in Levin’s endorsement of Allen. I get it (he and Allen are close) but I was hoping Mark would give the other folks the same opportunities he gave other Tea Party candidates to get some exposure on the air before endorsing. Levin regularly blasts Republicans who are similar to Allen so he isn’t being consistent in this manner but again, I understand why here.
Levin under$tand$ money. Rub money on him and he gets a chill running down his leg for Allen. His on air discussion just does not add up when he breaks ranks with his own BS. Credibility is capital and being of sound mind he spent it all.
