Cuccinelli on Healthcare
By E M Barner | Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 | PoliticsKen Cuccinelli is against the individual mandate but he’s all for reforming the health care funding and delivery system.
In a Washington Times editorial yesterday, Cuccinelli trotted out standard market-based health care system reforms. Cuccinelli suggests that increasing consumer choice, transparency in insurance options, and competition across state lines, along with tort reform, will ultimately drive down costs and increase access to quality health care. Congress should pass “consumer-driven” reforms now, while the judicial challenge to Obamacare is in progress, he argues.
