RPV launches VA Victory 2012
By | Monday, December 5th, 2011 | Politics

Governor Bob McDonnell and Republican Party of Virginia Chairman Pat Mullins have partnered to form “Virginia Victory 2012″ – the combined campaign to defeat President Obama in the commonwealth.

The campaign, chaired by New Media Strategies founder, Pete Snyder, has the promise to be fairly tech savvy – relatively important when your main opponent is the president’s “Organizing for America.”

Right now, the Virginia Victory site encourages voters to sign-up for email alerts and follow the GOP on Facebook and Twitter. They’re encouraging the use of the hashtag #VAVictory for tweets .

Do you think that taking a “Victory” theme is a smart move? Democrats normally run off emotions and promoting a “victory” theme seems like it would galvanize the Democrat masses.

We see a similar theme with Occupy Wall Street.

There is no real emotional attachment to a theme of victory. Let’s hear about the pain! There’s a lot out there.

I certainly hope this effort will get gong quickly. Obama organizers are working now. We aren’t. Obama has an app to activate his supporters, we don’t ! Obama has multiple offices one now. We don’t. We can’t have slogans but action now.

I just received an e-mail from the RPV Chairman Pete Snyder trying to kiss up to conservatives for support and donations.

I have voted in EVERY election in Va. since I was 18 years old and I am now 54. I have ALWAYS voted Republican, because I thought they respected me as a conservative and a christian. Oh, how times have changed…now they are more concerned with those in the middle, because they think in the end the conservatives will “come around” in the end.

I am letting you know now that I will not be voteing out of so called “party loyalty” ever again. I have tolorated the liberial/progressives long enough and will not be voteing with blinders on any longer. After all, it’s not like I have anyone to vote for when the choices are between a republican progressive or a crazy libatarian.

God requires Christians to forgive others, but we don’t forget. Just something to think about next time you take someones loyalty for granted.

    Respectfully,
    Linda
