Gary Bauer Endorses George Allen
By Shaun Kenney | Thursday, November 17th, 2011 | PoliticsGary Bauer endorsed George Allen today for U.S. Senate:
Now more than ever, we need men and women in Congress who understand the proper, limited role of government. We need committed conservatives who will unapologetically defend the commonsense values of the American people.
We are one year away from the most important election in generations. Our most important goal is defeating Barack Obama and electing a conservative majority to the United States Senate. That is why I am proud to endorse your candidacy!
Read on. Seems as if Allen is racking up all the endorsements lately.

Big government types always endorse their own and Gary Bauer is BIG GOVERNMENT and surely more canned endorsements are on the way. Of course if Gary Bauer endorses Allen then all christians will fall in line, right Shaun?
I wonder if Allens gay staff practices and hate crimes legislation are 100% Christian Coalition grade A.. Is the Coalitions 100% for the family enough for ole Gary? Has Gary checked in with his pastor to see if Allen passes the smell test on these matters? Has Allen protested against bigotry and defended the rights of Judeo Christian people of faith? Has Allen backed ballot initiatives to ban gay marriage all the while a large number of his staff are themselves gay couples who adopted children?
I guess the abortion pill gets a pass too huh Gary.. If you put lipstick on a pig.. it still aint kosher.
OK, OK. Calm down Turbo. Bauer endorsing Allen is not the same as Allen endorsing Bauer. Bauer just wants to jump on a winning team and that is just politics. No reason to go into orbit.
Really, Criag? Given what Turbo says, it makes Bauer look like a fraud. Does he have the courage of his convictions on abortion and other social issues or does he just talk smack like Allen does on fiscal conservatism.
I hope people are tired of fakery and sell outs. Apparently winning was the objective and words were planned misrepresentation.
What? If you want consistency, you are on the wrong planet. Maybe even the wrong galaxy. Big surprise Gary Baur endorses Allen. What is his alternative? Tim Kaine? Get real.
Yea, Craig? Then everyone stop talking about Jamie Radtke since she isn’t an alternative or a threat to Allen. You choose Kaine, because big government gaffe prone Allen can’t beat Kaine.
So, JR finding “interesting” videos to misconstrue in order to wedge apart Tea Part and Republicans (even though many are both) and other efforts to divide and conquer the Tea Party? Why are you guys acting like she’s a threat, but saying otherwise? I think you guys are protesting a bit too much.
Someone with George Allen’s anything but conservative record in the US Senate is a real alternative to Kaine?
Craig, Bauer’s alternative;s are the lifelong Conservative Christians in the primary.. you know who they are.
For what it’s worth, Gary Bauer’s endorsement is not a positive for Allen among us “radical centrists.” (New term for moderates coined by Tom Friedman.)
I thought that term was coined by Mark Warner?
Actually, the term has been used in one form or another over the past 50 years or so, ranging from the “extreme center” to the “radical middle.” Friedman is using it now to describe the need for a Third Party that straddles the center between conservatives and liberals, as opposed to third party movements that attempt to pull the Democrats or Republicans to the extreme left or right, such as Ralph Nadar’s Greens and Ron Paul’s Libertarians. Warner has used the term to describe himself, but he most likely got it from reading Friedman who in turn got it from reading contemporary political philosophy of various sources.
Whoah! Let me set the record straight. I am a George Allen supporter. Gary’s Bauer’s endorsement of him may be inconsistent with Gary Bauer, but that is not reason to throw aspersions on George Allen. Allen can’t help who decides to endorse him, or their reasons why. The rest of the crowd running for the Republican nomination who patently insist they are not Republicans but running for that lable (most notably Ms. Radke) are just pissing up a rope. Why on God’s Green Earth would an established, organized political party nominate anybody who is clearly and vehemently against their party, but’s to run under the Republican brand? Who the H— does Jamie Radke think she is trying to fool here? If the Tea Party wants to start its own political party, like the Libertarian Party, then they should do so. It is certainly their right. But to try to hijack a political party of long standing that IS GOING TO NOMINATE GEORGE ALLEN and then complain about why they can’t raise any money or garner anything more than a few percent of the permanently discontent vote, what is the point?
Craig Kilby.. YOU LIE!
George Allen helped Bawney Fwank hold this country hostage. Mrs. Radtke is a republican running as a republican and any insinuation otherwise is a lie, Craig.
OH. I thought she was a Tea Party community organizer, not a Republican. I stand corrected. But in that case, of course she has every right to enter the race as a Republican (which she has already done), and face the voters in the Republican Party primary (which she will.) She will have a difficult time stradling the fence between “I am not a Republican” and “I want the Republican nomintation” and get smashed in that meaningless effort, but if that is what floats her boat, by all means, she should go for it. I’m not voting for her. And I’m really getting tired of this Allen-bashing around here.
Allen bashing hehe.. Can you handle the truth?
