On the air with House Majority Leader Kirk Cox

Hogarth's "Chairing the Member." Just because the election is over doesn't mean the passion has gone out of politics

On this podcast edition of “The Score” radio show…

It’s time to sift through the confetti and the broken crockery to figure out just what last week’s elections mean. Scott lee talks with BD’s own Shaun Kenney about the races won and lost, the surprises, both good and bad, and what lessons conservatives, Republicans and even Democrats can take away from Tuesday.

Scott also has a wide-ranging discussion with the House majority leader, Del. Kirk Cox. Before the elections, the press, taking its cues from the DPVA, told us a Republican-controlled General Assembly would be the worst of all possible worlds. Cox sets the record straight, and gives us a preview of what the House, at least, intends to do with its expanded majority (could tax reform be on the agenda?). Plus, a quick look at the coming contest for House majority whip.

“The Score” is Bearing Drift radio, and can be heard on these broadcast stations and online talk networks in addition to being available on demand, right here at Bearing Drift.
