The curious case of Linda Wall
By | Monday, October 31st, 2011 | Catch-All

Linda Wall, a “conservative independent” candidate for the 59th House of Delegates seat being vacated by Watkins Abbitt has a rather, um, sordid past, having admitted to having what she called “an affair” with a student at the junior high school where Wall was a P.E. teacher. It was many years ago, no charges were brought…and the Lord has forgiven her (and cured Wall of being homosexual).

Here is a WSLS interview with Wall on the matter. It’s one of the more bizarre things I’ve seen in some time:

Wow.

how many votes will she get?

If she breaks 100 votes the people of the 59th should have their voting privileges revoked for lack of brain activity.

Well, she is definitely not going to get the GLBT vote. I wonder if Marcus Bachmann was involved in her being cured? A female gym teacher no less–how big of a stereotype is that?

i would rather vote for her than the republican candidate, criminal matt fariss.

oh well, two years with connie brennan, the democrat, won’t be so bad.

She did wrong. She is sorry. She changed with divine help. The same help that’s available to every last one of us who mess up in any way. God bless Linda for sharing her politically incorrect story.

I don’t know anything about this race – didn’t even realize she was running but I’ve worked with Linda in the past and I can say this: what you see is what you get. She’s not out to fool anyone. She’ll be straightforward (no pun intended) and let others draw what conclusions they will about her.
