One More Reason To Vote For Dick Black in VA-13…
By | Monday, October 24th, 2011 | Northern Virginia, Politics, Virginia

…because Democrat Shawn Mitchell was just endorsed by former Republican turned Independent Russ Potts:

“I’m really honored to have Senator Potts’ endorsement in this campaign,” said Shawn Mitchell.

*insert hysterical laughter here*

Admit it — that’s all you needed to know about this guy, right?

Dick Black should cruise to a double-digit win over Mitchell… eeeeaaaasssyy.

And Chichester, too. Next Shawn Mitchell gets a tattoo on his forehead that says “I WILL RAISE YOUR TAXES” just in case there are a handful of people in Virginia who don’t understand what a Potts & Chichester endorsement means!

It’s times like these I really miss the “Stop Potts” website.

I’m told by people with access to polling that this race is over and that Black wins.
Which is a really poor comment on both parties.

    Steve

It is a poor comment on at least one party.

Ultimately, the problem is with us. We gave the Democrats too much authority, and they royally abused it — the Obamas most certainly view themselves as royalty.

Now we must elect leaders who will believe us when we demand a restoration of limited government. So far too many Republicans either do not want to believe us or are afraid we will change our minds. And that’s a poor comment on us.

If Black, who’s a nutter, is the best the GOP can do, that’s a bad comment on them.
If the Democrats can’t come up with a candidate to beat an obvious nutter, that’s a worse comment on them.

You know, I’m not a huge fan of the RINO appellation, but Russ Potts is the exception that proves my distaste for slinging the term around as a rule.

It is because of individuals such as Potts that the term “RINO” exists. And it is because of such individuals that it should not be diluted via over-application.
