If you’re looking for something fun and exciting to do Thursday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in Hampton Roads, and you want to help a good cause at the same time, consider attending the 19th Annual Kiwanis Harbor Party at Town Point Park in Norfolk.
The event always draws a crowd – and that always draws politicians. According to Joel Rubin, an event promoter, most of the U.S. Senate candidates will be in attendance, as well as those candidates who are running for Congress in Hampton Roads – including the congressmen, if in recess.
But it’s not just about the pols – there’s also:
– All You can Eat Scallops, Crab Cakes, Oysters, Clams, Fish and Famous Harbor Party Clam Chowder
– All you want beer, wine and soda
– Live music
Like Buena Vista and Wakefield, this is a “must attend” on the political calendar, if you get the chance.
