U.S. Senate GOP 2012 Nomination Poll!
By | Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 | Politics, Virginia

That’s right!  October 2011… our Virginia State Senate stands on the precipice of flipping back to the wise and responsible hands of the Republican Party, our Virginia House of Delegates set to make gains, and yet — the 2012 nominations still dominate the talk!

Not to be outdone, Bearing Drift will be running this wholly unscientific and non-reliable online poll until Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 9.00pm.

[poll id="51"]

In recent news, Allen still maintains a sizable lead, not only amongst the GOP faithful but also in fundraising.  The Associated Press in conjunction with the non-partisan Sorenson Institute will be holding a Kaine vs. Allen debate, allowing second tier candidates to join if they raise a fraction of the support and finances as their party’s lead for the nomination.

Let the voting begin!

Is Allen participating in the October 20 debate?

  2. Joshua October 3, 2011 09:48 am

At this point, George Allen is not participating in the October 20th Tea Party debate. If you would like to see him there, call his campaign office and let them know (804-726-2012).

  3. Shaun Kenney October 3, 2011 10:13 am

There’s an October 20th debate? Goes to show what I know…

  4. ken Proffitt October 3, 2011 10:27 am

    Hey Shaun,

Couldn’t find where to vote on the list but my vote is for Jaime Radtke 100%.

  5. Steve Vaughan October 3, 2011 10:54 am

“our Virginia State Senate stands on the precipice of flipping back to the wise and responsible hands of the Republican Party”

While I think you’re right about Republicans widening their margin in the House of Delegates, this might be wishful thinking on your part. I’m not saying it can’t happen, but I’m not seeing much that suggests that it will. Where do you think the GOP picks up the two (with Bollings vote) or three seats they need?

  6. Lance October 3, 2011 10:58 am

No mechanism to vote on this site.

    Make mine Tim Donner.

  7. Scott October 3, 2011 11:08 am

I am so sick of career politicians. How can anyone vote for Allen or Kaine for US Senate. Two proven losers. Jamie Radtke 2012 !!!!

  8. Julie Viragh October 3, 2011 11:19 am

How do you vote on this site?

    Tim Donner 2012!

  9. DeeAnn Jeremiah October 3, 2011 11:40 am

Please give more press to more qualitifed candidates like TIM DONNER who represent conservative common sense, NOT the old boy network of politics as usual.

  10. Nick Faraone October 3, 2011 12:53 pm

Please add my vote for Tim Donner. I hope the media starts to realize Tim Donner is a serious candidate.

  11. Red Baron October 3, 2011 12:58 pm

Why are we still talking about Radtke her chance of a win has come and gone.

  12. Ken Rion October 3, 2011 13:07 pm

    Jamie Radtke hands down!!!!”

  13. James "turbo" Cohen October 3, 2011 13:19 pm

Red Baron, They all said that about Herman Cain.. hehe

Later Trump will speak about their meeting today that I will bet went VERY well.

Debates are a great opportunity for the underdog that Allen wants to avoid because he would fail in that setting… Cast my vote for the prettiest mother of three candidate for senate.

  14. Craig Kilby October 3, 2011 13:27 pm

You didn’t specify that “IF” this was the general election “held today.” Few of these people will be on the ballot then. It will probably be George Allen and Tim Kaine. Not the whole lot of them. I haven’t really made up my mind between Kaine and Allen. Yes, pure blasphemy. But I do like Tim Kaine and I do not really like George Allen, even though I voted for Allen over Webb last time (and I picked the loser.)

  15. Rick and Debbie Baird October 3, 2011 13:30 pm

Voting for Jamie all the way!!!!!

  16. Chip Tarbutton October 3, 2011 13:31 pm

Compare the candidates and their stands on the issues and their ability to take it to Kaine next year. There is only one candidate who can do it.

    EW Jackson.

  17. Craig Kilby October 3, 2011 13:31 pm

Let me clarify if I can. I like Tim Kaine personally. I do not necessarily like his politics. I do not not Allen personally. I’m sure he perfectly affable. He’s just too much like John Ashcroft for my tastes. (I am from Missouri, and I know what is means to have a two-faced “conservative” bible thumper in office who never met a tax increase they didn’t like, as long as Jesus endorsed it in a dream.)

  18. Ken Proffitt October 3, 2011 13:33 pm

And you said that this poll was unscientific and unreliable? Look at how Jaime Radtke has out voted George Allen almost 2 to 1! Ya think that maybe some of the more mainstream polls are biased? Mrs. Radtke has a lot going for her, least of all a very large grassroots following. Virginians will see this come the Republican primary next June when she will handily trump Georgie Allen. Tim Kaine will not have a chance in November!

  19. Red Baron October 3, 2011 13:40 pm

Yes please compare the candidates ability to take it to Kaine next year.Radtke can’t even get the full support and if that isn’t enough compare Radtke’s cash on hand to Kaine’s. Radtke is done.Comparing Radtke to Herman Cain is one hell of a stretch.

  20. Red Baron October 3, 2011 13:44 pm

    of the Tea party

  21. Harry Rollings October 3, 2011 14:22 pm

Voting for anyone in the old establisment would be like asking Dad for another switcing ’cause you like it….Uhhu…. Jamie “what’s her name” is a fresh young lady that owes nothing but her honesty…Go girl!!!

  22. Shaun Kenney October 3, 2011 14:28 pm

FOR FOLKS STILL WONDERING HOW YOU VOTE:

    1. Read the list.
    2. Find your candidate.
    3. Click on the radio button to the left of their name…
    4. PROFIT!

That’s it — not that hard, folks. I promise!

  23. Lynne Uher October 3, 2011 15:29 pm

I voted for Jamie and see she is leading this poll.

  24. Tor October 3, 2011 15:39 pm

    Shaun,

Does this remind you of that old debate between John Stewart and Bill O’Relly?

  25. Lynn Olivier October 3, 2011 16:35 pm

I don’t seem to be able to vote on the poll, just get straight through to the results/count?? Help.

  26. Brian Reynolds October 3, 2011 16:49 pm

Currently, the Allen camp has declined to participate in the October 20th GOP debate which will include Donner, Radtke, McCormick and other courageous GOP candidates hosted by the Shenandoah Valley Tea Party at 6:30 in Verona. This should be a great debate for all candidates and those wanting to learn more.

While I am a Donner supporter, at this point, besides being honest and fair, why should Allen participate and give others an opportunity to gain ground when the AP is sponsoring a pre-primary bi-partisan debate where the threshold for participation is so high that only Allen and Kaine can enter?

Of course this completely flies in the face of our electoral process; tossing aside the primary where coverage of a pre-primary Allen-Kaine debate essentially overshadows any fair opportunity an underdog may have. Not to mention circumvents the nomination process and promotes a lower than expected turn-out for the primary, obviously in favor of the frontrunners.

There should not be a bi-partisan pre-primary debate and frankly, as these candidates are attempting to obtain the RPV GOP nomination, the RPV and Pat Mullins should object and lay down the rules for candidates… if you want RPV support and a GOP nomination, you can participate in GOP debates, then once you are the nominee, participate in bi-partisan debates all you want… otherwise run as an Independent.

As interesting as an Allen-Kaine debate may be, it is a general election debate, not one which should take place before the primaries regardless of any provisions or thresholds. The AP knows this… but if they get away with it here, watch the influence they will have moving forward and watch the pool of qualified candidates, as we have this cycle, dwindle down.

Neither the underlying Primary process or Virginia voters should fall victim to an overzealous powerful media outlet pulling this stunt.

And, if the Sorensen Institute is involved–shame on them. They pride themselves by stating Sorensen has “established itself as a powerful and effective force for restoring public confidence in our political system.” Why then would they ever promote a bi-partisan pre-primary debate? In fact, they should be among the first to criticize this action.

    Do you agree Bearingdrift?

Steve Vaughan October 3, 2011 10:54 am Said:
“our Virginia State Senate stands on the precipice of flipping back to the wise and responsible hands of the Republican Party”

I am working toward a Republican State Senate, but not one like we had the last time there was a Republican majority. No more Russell Potts or John Chichester or their ilk.

  28. Stuart C. Fuller October 3, 2011 17:38 pm

Jamie Radtke has my vote. She is not a flamboyant canidate but serious, intense and very concerned about our nations future (and present state). I don’t want a “passed career
politican” who has help create our current downard spiral. I want some one who will help rescue American. GOD Himself
is the only one who can do that but godly canidates are put in place by Him!!!

  29. Spank That Donkey October 3, 2011 18:05 pm

    Shaun:
I am using Firefox 7.0.1 and I do not see the poll, (beyond this post), nor radio buttons. Tech glitch for the browser? Thanks,

  30. Spank That Donkey October 3, 2011 18:08 pm

Explorer 9.0 and change… voted.. now I can rest easy; but I am afraid your techies cannot!

  31. Blackwater October 3, 2011 18:34 pm

    Jamie Radtke 2012

    She’s the real deal.

  32. Robert Cons October 3, 2011 18:46 pm

In the Senate race for Jim Webb’s senate seat, I think that the Press/Media ought to stand on the sidelines, observe and report just the facts of all the declared candidates instead of acting as an oligarchy attempting to tell us, the voters who the candidates are (as in the case of the coming debate between only Tim Kaine and George Allen). The Press/Media have absolutely no right to tell us how to think or how to vote-only to accurately report the facts. All of the declared candidates for the Senate race must be allowed to participate in all of the debates.

  33. Mike the Redskins Fan October 3, 2011 19:01 pm

Jamie Radtke is my choice. She is a geniune conservative and a good and decent patriot. Virginia would be lucky to have her as their senator.

  34. Sue Sherrill October 3, 2011 19:37 pm

I don’t see how to vote either – only a recap of the results. Mark me down for Jamie radtke – or E. W. Jackson, or McCormick or Donner… Get the point????!

  35. Suzy Q October 3, 2011 19:40 pm

no ‘radio button’ on my monitor! Do you have to be using IE or something strange like that????

  36. Kyle Collie October 3, 2011 20:13 pm

No radio buttons on the page…

Add my vote for Jamie Radtke.

  37. ToR October 3, 2011 20:34 pm

    Wow Stuart:

“GOD Himself is the only one who can do that but godly [candidates] are put in place by Him!!!”

How do you know God ordained Jamie?

  38. Shaun Kenney October 3, 2011 20:48 pm

    @Lynn –

If you’re seeing only the results, then someone has used your IP to vote. Blame someone in your household! :)

  39. Shaun Kenney October 3, 2011 20:58 pm

Checking on the Firefox issues… not able to replicate, but if you’ve already voted (or someone on your IP has voted) then you probably aren’t going to be able to vote again unless you use your cell phone, your neighbor’s cell phone, library, dog’s cell phone, etc.

  40. Pete Goergen October 3, 2011 21:16 pm

I, like others, couldn’t figure out how to vote. If I were able to do so, I would cast my vote for Jaime Radtke.

  41. Suzy Q October 3, 2011 21:20 pm

I was using Firefox too & no one was using my computer… works now though!

  42. Ward Smythe October 3, 2011 21:53 pm

Am I the only one fascinated by how many Radtke supporters apparently don’t know how to vote? :-)

    Okay, everybody breathe…it’s a joke.

  43. HisRoc October 3, 2011 22:13 pm

There is no issue with Firefox. The buttons appear on my browser and I was able to vote. I suspect that the Tea Party supporters are as technologically challenged as the Gore voters in Florida in 2000.

Of course, they could be doing a Joe Miller thing and trying to vote multiple times for Radtke from the same IP address…

    ;)

  44. Jason Kenney October 3, 2011 22:16 pm

Appears there’s an issue with newer versions of Firefox (6.2 and up) and the plugin. We’ve reset the cache which might make a difference, if you’ve been having difficulties give it a refresh and let us know if there are still problems.

Trying to find a solution but the future fix might be using a different poll. Which is too bad, this one was pretty handy.

  45. Shaun Kenney October 3, 2011 22:26 pm

At least it’s killing everyone equally… or showing how Allen supporters are Firefox users.

    Whichever explanation suits you best.

  46. Lyndsey Lewis October 3, 2011 22:27 pm

@Red Baron- I don’t think you should discredit Jamie’s ability to perform based on the amount of campaign funds she has raised 8 months prior to the primary. Of course Kaine and Allen have higher amounts of cash on hand, look at their prior positions. The important thing to note is that despite Jamie not being a career politician she is still a viable candidate and in these times who would want to send back Allen and Kaine? I don’t recall either of them having a great run in the Senate before. Why would you send someone back to “fix” the problems when they had a hand in creating them?

  47. Right is right October 3, 2011 23:08 pm

Based on my experience (no radio buttons), the posts and the overwhelming Radtke lead, if you’re a lemming (Microsoft, Radtke, etc.) you get to vote. Those who form their own opinions (Firefox, anybody other than Radtke, etc.) are not eligible.

  48. Cindy Trautz October 4, 2011 00:17 am

Voted for the one who I think can beat Kaine. The one who truly “gets it.” TIM DONNER!

  49. Blackwater October 4, 2011 01:27 am

@Right is right, are you always this ignorant?

I am a Firefox user, a Radtke supporter, and definitely not a lemming.

Maybe instead of crying and trying to explain things away, you should realize the real answer is simple. Most people want real leadership and want Jamie Radtke.

  50. D.J. Spiker October 4, 2011 02:17 am

Am I the only one wondering why anyone would have a debate for a 2012 race in Virginia BEFORE the November election day?

Not only should George Allen not participate, nor should Radtke, Jackson, Donner or McCormick. They should be out appearing and campaigning for State Senate candidates.

What a stupid, look-at-me ploy, when the rightful focus is on taking back the State Senate.

  51. Sandra Warren October 4, 2011 08:04 am

The only one that can beat Kaine is George Allen. The other non experienced candidates will be like the non experienced President we have now. NOT A CLUE!

  52. Mike Barrett October 4, 2011 09:28 am

I guess I am very surprised by the results of this poll. If general polling reveals Allen has about a 90/10 advantage over all the other candidates, I guess this page really is indicative of just the radically conservative wing of the Party. I always thought it had a strong right tilt, but the disparity in the polls is amazing.

  53. Brian Reynolds October 4, 2011 09:34 am

To DJ, You have a very valid point. Unfortunately, because Allen will take full advantage of the AP sponsored pre-primary bi-partisan debate where no other GOP candidate will meet the threshold to participate, and that debate will gain national coverage, effectively quashing any opportunity the other candidates have to move forward for a primary bid, the Tea Party sponsoring the October 20 debate is attempting to give every opportunity for voter attentiveness.

That is, the November 8 statewide general election, as it is an off year, is slated for a low turn-out. After November 8 only a fraction of those currently paying attention will follow anything further in 2011. With this AP Allen/Kaine debate in December, the underdogs have their best shot at a captive audience prior to the November 8 Vote.

    Otherwise you are absolutely correct.

  54. Britt Howard October 4, 2011 09:46 am

See, Mike, even if it is just the “radicals” in the party and large number of Libertarians, it is still a large number. Even if it is just a reflection of politically actives, it shows strength that these other polls indicate isn’t there. The poll won’t be up long, but it looks like Jamie will do even better than her last victory.

It does make good exposure for Bearing Drift. Potentially new traffic. Maybe some of the Allen voters might even stay. He gets warm treatment here at BD. Maybe it was a joke, Ward, but making fun of potential readers since you are a contributor, doesn’t seem like a wise thing. If they post, that is one thing, but many people just read and don’t care to debate or be joked about.

  55. Mikey October 4, 2011 10:57 am

Mike B – Part of it is BD’s audience, another part is which campaigns are promoting it. Donner’s hit his list with a link, Radtke campaign’s asked for RTs and more. They care more.

  56. Red Baron October 4, 2011 11:36 am

Well after the primary Radtke will be able to say she won a couple online polls but lost at the only poll that counts.

  57. Britt Howard October 4, 2011 12:09 pm

Funny thing is Red Baron, 2 polls ago George Allen won this poll. My how the tune changes when the numbers shift.

When Jamie Radtke handily beat George Allen last time, the excuse makers simply down played the significance of a Bearing Drift poll. True enough, it isn’t scientific, but you take the excuse a fraction further with “the poll that matters”. Well, gaining demonstrable ground is gaining ground and I will take it.

Mikey does make a great point. Some campaigns care more than others and steer traffic. Well, that is what you should do. The Radtke supporters do seem passionate and appear to believe in the message of their candidate. I sure do.

  58. Brian Reynolds October 4, 2011 12:10 pm

I want to add clarity to my earlier reply about the Sorensen Institute participating in the AP sponsored Allen/Kaine debate. After corresponding with the Sorensen Institute, they are not a co-sponsor and are not really “in-conjunction with” the AP. Factually, Bob Gibson of the Sorensen Institute was asked to moderate the debate.

This, however, poses the questions, if any of the current underdog candidates where Sorensen graduates, would Sorensen then have a conflict of interest in moderating a pre-primary bi-partisan debate where the thresholds are so high that their own graduate could not possibly participate, yet still fought for the nomination? Their answer should be yes, we would have a conflict. And, if that was their answer this indicates that, in fact, there is an overall conflict of interest in holding this pre-primary bi-partisan debate, the electoral process and public trust.

  59. Red Baron October 4, 2011 12:24 pm

Well Britt mark my word Radtke will be lucky to get over 30% in the primary.

  60. VA Patriot October 4, 2011 12:50 pm

    Red Baron:

Could you perhaps outline maybe the top 2 or 3 things in Radtke’s platform with which you disagree?

  61. Whit October 4, 2011 13:27 pm

Can anyone answer why George Allen is colluding with his Democratic opponent to squash his own Parties’ primary candidates? Why is he trying to end the primary before it even begins(if he’s a guaranteed winner)? Why is the party allowing him to bigfoot its own prerogatives?

  62. Red Baron October 4, 2011 13:48 pm

Va Patriot when did I ever say that I disagreed with Radtke ? What I have been saying for months is Radtke can’t win the primary or the general election. It takes alot of money and alot of name id to win a statewide election.Radtke doesn’t have either one.You can wish all you want but in the end the result will be the same Radtke will lose.Every dollar you waste on Radtke will be a dollar less Allen will have to fight Kaine with.Im sure some of you will argue about this but in your heart you know im right.

  63. Ken Proffitt October 4, 2011 16:37 pm

Red Baron, Jaime Radtke is running her campaign on faith, faith in the grass roots numbers that voted out George Allen before. Faith that God has placed her in this moment in history and has led her to this point. If you think Mrs. Radtke doesn’t have name recognition I think you should look again and money amount does not an incubent bring down but by votes. The last Senatorial election proved that. Don’t count out Mrs. Radtke so quickly. George Allen is looking over his shoulder and seeing the results. I say Mrs. Radtke will beat George Allen in the June primary and definitely take out Tim Kaine in the November 2012 election. Virginia will finally have a Senator it can be very proud of. I don’t mean to discredit Tim Donner or Bishop Earl Jackson, they are good men but Mrs. Radtke has been working long and hard in this campaign before either of the other candidates decided to throw their hats in. People of faith are involved in this coming election and they are sorely dissapointed and disenfranchised with George Allen and Tim Kaine. Remember the saying, prayer can move mountains and there are a lot of the faithful that are praying for God’s hand in this election. Wait and see what the elections turn up.

  64. Red Baron October 4, 2011 17:06 pm

Ken you might be right but if I were a gambler and had to bet my last 5 dollars I would bet on Allen. How can Radtke claim to be the most conservative candidate when she has more debt than cash on hand ?

  65. Britt Howard October 4, 2011 17:47 pm

Red Baron, that silly argument about current debt was shot down long ago. It has nothing to do with fiscal conservatism. She has to leverage in the beginning against future contributions. She is up against a guy that started off with a much larger pool of resources. Forward momentum justifies what she’s doing.

George Allen can’t beat Kaine. Jamie Radtke. Certainly can. Kaine will bury Allen wiith his own baggage and hypocrisey on fiscal issues.

  66. Sue October 4, 2011 23:20 pm

People cannot be expected to loosen their purse strings when it looks as though the establishment is going to insist that George Allen be the Republican Candidate. Jamie does not represent the good old boys who pour money into candidates for future favors. She and the other potential candidates do not appear to have a level playing field. When that happens, we the people will support Jamie’s run for the senate!

  67. Joshua October 5, 2011 10:04 am

With all this spirited discussion regarding Virginia’s Senate seat, I hope you all will be attending the debate. Here are the details:
    October 20th
    Starting at 6:30 PM
    Augusta County Govt Center
    18 Government Center Lane
    Verona, VA
Sponsored by the Shenandoah Valley Tea Party Patriots
    All Republican candidates are invited!

  68. Jason Kenney October 5, 2011 12:44 pm

Josh – Can’t get fired up about a debate for 2012 candidates that happens weeks before the very important 2011 elections. I wish those going to this debate would take that time to knock on doors, make phone calls, or just do something for this year’s elections instead. Candidates included.

  69. eshaver October 5, 2011 15:37 pm

If George Allen would simply Vote as a REAL Republican instead of the Check Pant Religious Zealot we all know he is , I could vote for him . I wish these klowns would jus go away for ever !!!!!!!!!!!

  70. James "turbo" Cohen October 5, 2011 21:01 pm

Here ye, here ye.. the polls are now closed.

  71. Carole October 5, 2011 21:13 pm

A vote for anyone but Allen is a vote for Kaine… Jamie should have first set her sights on the Virginia Senate where she could have earned name recognition and experience. She could have served the State of Virginia better in the future had she taken this route first.
So far I have seen her take some misteps and say some things that were less than truthful. Just how fiscally conservative is she when is spending money she DOES NOT HAVE to run a bus she cannot afford and which probably gets about 4 miles to the gallon at today’s gas prices.

  72. Karen Miner Hurd October 5, 2011 21:29 pm

A vote for Jamie is a vote for constitutionally limited government and for Liberty. A vote for George Allen is a wasted vote. George Allen voted to increase spending, increase the size of government, increase entitlements, increase unconstitutional federal intrusion in our lives vis a vis federalizing the TSA and No Child Left Behind, and he politicized thought with his support of hate crimes legislation. That’s why he lost his senate seat the last time he ran – HE WAS FIRED.

  73. James "turbo" Cohen October 5, 2011 21:37 pm

Carole, what does todays gas prices have to do with MPG? While we are on that topic, Jamies campaign bus has a high efficiency Caterpillar 4116 intercooled turbo diesel with low engine hours on it mated to an allison 6 speed automatic that probably averages about eight or nine mpg on Virginia highways. Can’t make this stuff up.

  74. Britt Howard October 5, 2011 22:06 pm

Carole, the bus is a small part. A fundraising request was sent out to her supporters asking them to help get it paid for. Nobody is going to know more about that bus than Turbo!

And again, she’s saving us from the likes of Allen that went along with astronomical spending, earmarks, subsidies (like ethanol), and refusing the request of Republican Senator Hagel to help regulate Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Add on to that all the macaca style gaffes he makes, Jamie radtke is trying to save the Republican party. Tim kaine will destroy George Allen! Wait til he blasts him for hypocrisey and points to Allen as a cause of the credit/realestate bubbles. How can you guys even support George Allen? Just because he did some great things for the party before he betrayed conservatism in the senate? a Record that got him fired and replaced by a Democrat?

  75. Sue October 5, 2011 22:58 pm

I hope we can convince Virginians NOT to watch a debate which leaves out any legitimate candidates! They can have it, hold it, televise it or whatever, but I only hope no one watches! We won’t!

  76. James "turbo" Cohen October 6, 2011 07:12 am

Sue, Watch it. Record it. Kaine is the least of our worries.. The machine behind Kaine is licking their chops and will unload bookoo money to show Allen was a leading player that caused enough conservatives to realize their party left them. They also know that Allen to his credit was a key player whose dirty deeds inspired scorned conservatives to close ranks with tea party movements nationwide.

Tim Donner can win it all. Not only that, I strongly believe that Donner can and will deliver effective protection of our American Values and individual rights. I have been in conversations with Mr. Donner and he is one who will walk the walk.

Carole, Mrs. Radtke got the bus so she could 1. spend more time with her family when she has to travel across the state, 2. It’s a whole lot more economical than paying for motel rooms, 3. It’s more secure than being around a motel at night in a town she’s not familiar with. You tell me, is this not being fiscally responsible? More like good common sense to me. A whole lot more than what we’ve been shown by the Washington elite!

Topping it all off, Radtke’s bus was assembled in the USA with every major component MADE IN THE USA! Unlike the canadian assembled busses with brazillian engines and chinese transmissions.

Dollar for dollar Mrs. Radtke is running a lean and efficient campaign that covers more ground enabling attendance at more functions per contributor dollar than most.

BS this thing does not work. Have never voted. This desktop has never voted! No one here even knows what a Bearing Drift is, and I have not voted. Only get results. Don’t care to vote anyway but wanted to make sure the error is reported and not spun. This computer has looked at BD in the past day or so but not this article/thread.

Bearing Drift ran this poll until October 5, 2011.
