Hey leftists! Here’s your big chance to report my criticism of Obama to the authorities!
By Ken Falkenstein | Tuesday, September 13th, 2011 | PoliticsThroughout history, American leftists have suffered under a system of free speech that exposed their propaganda to the light of public scrutiny. How frustrating it has been for them to watch as leftist leaders in places like the old Soviet Union and modern-day Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, China, and North Korea were able to go about arresting and persecuting their opposition, while American leftists have had to sit helplessly and watch their opposition in America freely express their ideas.
Oh sure, American leftists have occasionally won a few measures to stifle opposition speech, such as the “Fairness Doctrine” (which, alas, was later repealed) and McCain-Feingold (which also, alas, has been ruled unconstitutional in many respects). They even sometimes got to send union thugs to Democrat town hall meetings to rough up dissenters. But to the chagrin of American leftists, free speech still stubbornly prevailed throughout the land.
Well, today is the day that American leftists have been waiting for all of these years: Finally, they have a president who has had the boldness of his counterparts in true leftist regimes to step forward and openly work to stifle opposition speech!
How, you ask? Well, President Obama has created an official web site to report opposition speech to the authorities!
Don’t like my persistent criticism of President Obama and his leftist policies? Just go to this page of BarackObama.com and turn me in!
I’ll make it easy for you. Many, if not most of my posts here at Bearing Drift have been critical of Barack Obama. The authorities must be notified of my sedition! To do so, simply click here, and where it says “Content of attack or link,” copy and paste this link: http://www.bearingdrift.com/author/ken/
It’s that simple. Click, paste, and celebrate the realization of the leftist dream of stifling of political dissent in America!

1. Since when was a .com an authority?
2. In what way does this limit your free speech?
Since you’ve made those claims I’m assuming you’re capable of answering those questions. Otherwise you’re an idiot.
This is an absolutely terrible post.
Tor: You’re right. The President of the United States creating a site calling on Americans to report their neighbors and friends who dare to criticize him is perfectly consistent with American values. Whatever could I have been thinking? Better go report me!
Umm just a fund raising tool. What they really want is the email address so they can send pleas for money.
Twitter is alive and mocking Obama and the site. One tweet “Hey Obama, a Democrat got beat up in New York”.
Reported.
Enjoy the visit from….well…nobody.
I asked that you be arrested, beaten, shot, and thrown in prison. Keep us up to date if any of that good stuff happens.
AttackWatch Tweet: “Obama, the economy is so bad we lost 7 states, we are now down to 50″
Visiting the site and doing just a tiny bit of research, I noted that the site is the official re-election campaign website for Barack Obama.
From what I can tell, on the portion of the site looking for reports of attacks and smears, I suspect they are primarily looking for claims being made by leaders, politicians and the like so that he can rebut them. I would imagine the more ridiculous and embarrassingly wrong the statement or webpage is, the happier they would be with them. Who knows what journalist or blogger out there needs an idea for something to write about.
Isn’t that just engaging in politics?
I think valentinus is not far off in that they also seem to be fishing to expand Obama’s large, vaunted, data base of email addresses of likely supporters. Sure seemed like I ran into numerous pages on the site trying to get me to provide my own.
The site is going to backfire on them like the previous “Fight the Smears” website. AttackWatch is already a treasure trove of one-liners for late night comedians, comics, bloggers and debating politicians everywhere. Some of the funniest content has been re-tweeted thousands of times which will put the Obama minions running this site in chaos. Hundreds of us have turned ourselves in as offenders with our competitive tweets to help them, and the list is growing.
I hope I can get the record for being the most reported offender. So far, I’ve got Scott S. and my wife. Keep ‘em coming!
Ken,
I hate to be the first to break this to you but your wife (and Scott S but he loves it) is now going to get spammed from the Dems and every other leftist group. They will plead for money because their fatcats are tapped out.
Hey Shaun: I found a complete transcript of Hoffa’s speech. Republicans mentioned zero times, Tea Party four times. No republicans mentioned by name.
Retraction? Are you big enough?
Detroit free press “Transcript: Teamsters Jim Hoffa’s speech on Labor Day”
Jamie, are you sure you are on the right thread, or are you trying to get “reported” to AttackWatch?
Can’t find the right thread, it’s off the page.
Screw “Attack Watch”.
Again Ken,
1. Since when was a .com an authority?
2. In what way does this limit your free speech?
Can you just answer the question? Judging by your response I’ll assume that you’re incapable of doing so.
The reason, if you answered the questions honestly, your post would lose it validity. Admit it Ken, your post is incorrect and you’re trying to motivate your base, which is exactly what the website was trying to do.
Tor: I ignored your stupid questions in an attempt to preserve your dignity, given how obvious the answers are. But since you’ve come back with the same moronic questions, and since you are cowardly hiding behind a pseudonym as you launch your personal insults, I’ll give you the blindingly obvious answers to your ridiculous questions:
1. “.com” isn’t an authority. The President of the United States is. And “.com” isn’t asking the American people to report those who dare criticize him. It’s the President of the United States personally who is doing so.
2. The very fact that it is the President of the United States himself who is calling on people to report those who criticize him will stifle the speech of anyone who fears getting on his bad side. Ever hear of Watergate? This particular President comes from that school of political tactics. He emerged from the Chicago thugocracy and brought that mentality to his presidency and administration.
The fact that the President of the United States would set up a web site like this demonstrates that at best he is an immature and paranoid little baby man and at worst he is seeking to employ the dissent-stifling tactics of his leftist heroes. Either way, he deserves the across-the-board ridicule that he has been receiving, and I’ve enjoyed being part of the chorus.
Any more stupid questions?
Every once in a while you have to spank a troll that the dark side sends into our midst bearing nothing but talking points and idiocy.
Yeah Ken,
1. “Get the facts. Fight the fears.” It’s a campaign website dedicated to preventing the dissemination of false information that the Republican Party and Tea Party have done so successfully in the past: Obama is a Muslim, Obama wasn’t born in the United States, etc. If the President himself is personally asking people to report some false information, I must have missed that part of the website. I didn’t see the President’s image or likeness or a personal appear from him. Maybe you did.
If there wasn’t constant false information about the Obama’s upbringing, religion, etc would the website be necessary?
2. The website doesn’t call on people to report other people if they criticize him; the website calls on people to report on the perpetuation of false information. Secondly, no free speech is being stiffed, none what-so-ever. And do you have any examples of his thuggery. Any proof that he’s perpetuating that John McCain wasn’t born in the United State or that Sarah Palin is a Muslim? No, but you do see that from the Republican side of the isle. The President’s re-election campaign set up the website because of all the false information that has been spread about him and they are attempting to capitalize on it and turn it into votes and dollars.
No, I’ve never heard of Watergate. Who was the president, what political party was he a member of? What exactly did he and his cronies orchestrate? Did you vote for him?
The very fact that it is the President of the United States himself who is calling on people to report those who criticize him will stifle the speech of anyone who fears getting on his bad side. Ever hear of Watergate? This particular President comes from that school of political tactics. He emerged from the Chicago thugocracy and brought that mentality to his presidency and administration.
Ken, you also just strung together an amazing group of words: “immature and paranoid little baby man.” You should be proud of yourself for such eloquence. You’re a prime example of what’s wrong with today’s politics. Disagree with the President, calling him names isn’t going to solve anything.
Any more immature and incorrect replies?
Hey Troll, some more Attackwatch Tweets to the ““immature and paranoid little baby man.”:
