Leesburg, VA, population 42,600 is the 4th ranked city in the nation, says Money.
Other Virginia towns in the top 100 included
Herndon
Montclair
Oakton
&
Manassas Park.
The average initial listing price for a home in Leesburg? $486,018. Now don’t you want to move here?

I guess they think suburban neighborhoods qualify as “small towns”. As for the home prices they Are “Money Magazine” after all.

You could always move to Oakton (#36) and pay over $600,000 for a small townhouse. That $486,018 property in Leesburg will cost you about $850,000 in most parts of Fairfax County.
by someone’s measure, Leesburg is a small town. Kenbridge (formerly Tinkling), in Lunenburg Co. (Mother of Counties) has 1,200 persons. Dundas has even fewer.
Our home prices are substantially less.
