Frederick picks up endorsement from Braunlich
By | Monday, August 15th, 2011 | Politics

The Jeff Frederick for Senate campaign has announced in a press release that former challenger to Democrat incumbent Sen. Toddy Puller, Chris Braunlich, has endorsed Frederick.

“Jeff Frederick has a proven record of consistently standing for fiscally responsibility, low taxes, and improving our quality of life in Northern Virginia,” Braunlich said. “Jeff has won three tough races in democratic-leaning districts in Northern Virginia, and can win this seat in November.”

Frederick used the opportunity to point out a key plank in his campaign:

“Raising taxes shouldn’t be the State Senate’s solution to every problem Virginia faces. Northern Virginia families are burdened enough by the economy. Increasing taxes is not the answer to the challenges we’re facing.”

Frederick faces Tito Munoz for the Republican nomination next Tuesday. Bearing Drift will announce its endorsement in this race on Thursday. We are awaiting the candidates’ responses to a series of questions we asked them.

Tito Munoz is the only one who could beat Toddy Puller. Jeff Frederick has already let us down twice – quiting the House of Delegates and getting fired as Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV). It took 3/4 vote to impeach him as Chairman of RPV, but he was so bad that they managed to get the votes. Frederick is in it for himself. I am not worried about him abusing his office again because he will not win any office, however, he may get the nomination and give this election to the democrats.

This is a good reason to support Tito.

Who is Braunlich? Is this some sort of inside joke? Are we supposed to know this person?

Completely agree that Tito is the only one that can beat Toddy Puller, Frederick seems to be a career politician that cannot function without being in office and power. It IS all about himself!

Jeff is racking up endorsements at a impressive rate. Everyone has always underestimated him, I expect him to win the nomination in a landslide and then go on to win in November.
