McDonnell to become Chairman of Republican Governors Association

Last week, I wrote that if current RGA chairman Rick Perry runs for president, he will have to step down as Chairman and Vice Chairman Bob McDonnell will ascend to the chairmanship.  As Jim Hoeft reported tonight, Rick Perry is, in fact, going to announce his candidacy for president this weekend.

So, congratulations to Governor McDonnell, the new chairman of the Republican Governors Association!
