Virginia Politics Podcast 120: Ben Loyola, GOP Nominee, 6th State Senate District
By JR Hoeft | Sunday, July 10th, 2011 | Podcasts, Politics
Ben Loyola is the Republican nominee for State Senate in the 6th District and he wants to unseat freshman incumbent state Sen. Ralph Northam.
Loyola talks about why he won this nomination and the challenges he faces in the upcoming campaign. He also explains why he is the best person to send to Richmond for the citizens of the 6th.
“I understand how to create jobs. I understand the challenges a small business owner has with all the new regulations and taxes,” said Loyola. “You’re almost fighting the government and the pendulum has swung too far. It’s hurting the economy.”
Loyola also discusses, in general, the kind of policies he’d support as a state Senator.
