Weiner to resign

Democratic Congressional Caucus Sans Weiner

From the New York Times

Representative Anthony D. Weiner has told House leaders and friends that he plans to resign his seat after coming under growing pressure from his Democratic colleagues to leave the House, said a top Democratic official and two people told of Mr. Weiner’s plans.

Apparently, Democrats love Charlie Rangel, but not the tweeter.

About the author

Brian Kirwin

The right wants to jeer him. The left wants to censor him. Moderates usually want both. Brian Kirwin is a political consultant and public relations strategist in Virginia Beach with a lightning-rod flair. Brian also serves on the VB Arts & Humanities Commission and frequently appears on Hampton Roads theatrical stages, if only to prove that all actors aren’t liberals. Kirwin’s columns stir up debate and hit the political scene with no punches pulled.

Does this mean that Barney Frank etc will resign as well? And Bill Clinton will retire from public events linked to the Dems?

Oh No! The porn stars and cross dressing emerged yesterday and I was hoping we would get to the revelations where he as a Jew converted to Islam to marry a Muslim and then a global Fatwah from some crazy cleric in the middle east that mentions Weiner.

    Tomorrow’s headlines:

    “Democrats’ Weiner Out”

    “Democrats Pull Their Weiner”

    “No Weiners In Democratic Caucus”

    “Liberals Stomp On Their Weiner”

    “Pelosi Loses Her Weiner”

C’mon, I’m sure that someone can top these.

At least now the MSM can get back to the serious news…like reading Sarah Palin’s email.

His name does make for good laughs, he should have made a stand: said he’d resign when Vitter, McCain, Guiliani, Barr, and all the others do!

However, it does look like he got a job offer from Brian’s favorite magazine.

There once was a pervert named Weiner
    Who had a perverted demeanor
    Forced from the Hill
    For acting like Bill
Now Congress is one weiner leaner
