A recent Public Policy Polling survey of the U.S. Senate campaign found former Gov. Tim Kaine in a slight lead over former Gov. George Allen 46-44 reports the Washington Times.
The poll also reflects the close results reported by the Washington Post in their poll that had Allen and Kaine tied at 46.
The margin of error for the PPP poll is 4.2% and 3.5% for the WaPo.
Seizing upon the fact that neither candidate breaks 50%, the Virginia Tea Party Federation writes on Facebook today:
“It’s pretty bad when the “frontrunners” are less than 50% in the polls – especially when both held prior elected office. Less than 50% as an “incumbent” is considered vulnerable.”
Jamie Radtke, a former leader within the Tea Party, is currently polling at 2% in her bid for the Republican nomination.
