Is It Worth A Billion $ to Re-Elect Obama?
By Michael Fletcher | Friday, April 1st, 2011 | Politics
Obama supporters are looking for a billion and some change.
The campaign, which is expected to raise as much as $1 billion overall, is starting its own fundraising at an aggressive clip, pairing large low-dollar events in each city with exclusive gatherings that will cost as much as $35,800 a person — with $5,000 going to the reelection campaign and the rest to the Democratic National Committee.
L.A. Times
Way to represent the downtrodden masses Barry!
Look, I’m under no illusions that if the Republicans can ever find a non-laugh-evoking candidate that they won’t try to raise, or outraise the Democrats.
It’s all a little sickening actually.
But, if you really try to use the phrase “rich Republicans” in a conversation? You deserve to be mocked.
Early and often.

It would save the USA alot of billions if he isn’t re-elected.
Before I can answer the quetion in your headline, I need to know what the alternative is.
I guess a billion dollars just won’t buy what it used to.
My only concern is that it be from American citizens. I remember the Clinton and Gore campaign in 1996 apparently trolling for campaign contributions from non citizens. I would be even more concerned with the Obama campaign given his minimum high regard for the US and his boundless admiration for the world’s lowlifes. I’m sure that there a number of regimes elsewhere who would be interested in helping Obama.
Obama is “C” student as far as being a President. The GOP has no real alternative, so far. Things may change, but we have to be honest here: our own team’s grade is “D-”
So far, so bad. It’s too early to make predictions, but so far the C-Minus team is winning. A sad commentary.
I think you guys should just nominate one of the Koch brothers…they’ll be tossing cash at the election anyway…they might as well get something for it.
Joel,
Does that imply that George Soros won’t be also tossing cash at the election?
