Wear your Black and Gold Tomorrow! It’s VCU Time!

In honor of VCU playing for a spot in the national championship, Governor Bob McDonnell announced that the Governor’s staff will participate in a “casual Friday” to support the team. Each staff member is being asked to make a $4.00 contribution to Team Virginia to support VCU Massey Cancer Center’s Massey Challenge, which is the charitable partnership of the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by MARTIN’S.
McDonnell said, “The Capital City is filled with enthusiasm and spirit for the VCU Rams, and all of Virginia is proud of what VCU has accomplished. We thought this would be an opportunity to show our support for the team by wearing black and gold to work on Friday while, at the same time, raising funds for the life-saving work done by the VCU Massey Cancer Center.”
If you are interested in participating in “Black and Gold Day,” you can make a contribution by joining Team Virginia (minimum online donation is $10). All proceeds go to VCU Massey Cancer Center.
