Nation’s Sports Community to Obama: Please Stop Picking Us
By Ward Smythe | Sunday, March 27th, 2011 | Catch-All
With Virginia Commonwealth University’s 10 pt. win over Kansas, all four of President Obama’s Final Four picks (Ohio State, Kansas, Duke and Pittsburgh) have packed up to go home.
The nation’s athletes are crying, “ENOUGH!”
If you recall…
During a press conference on January 19, 2011 President Barack Obama (a longtime Chicago Bears fan) said he would attend Super Bowl XLV if the Chicago Bears defeated the Green Bay Packers, saying “If the Bears win, I’m going no doubt”. Chicago ended up losing the NFC Championship game a few days later on January 23 to Green Bay 21–14. Wikipedia.
In December, 2010 President Obama and former President Bill clinton were in Zurich to lobby for the United States to host the 2022 World Cup. FIFA awarded the games to Qatar.
In 2009, the President and Mrs. Obama, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Oprah of Winfrey flew to Copenhagen in support of the bid by the City of Chicago to host the 2016 summer olympics. Chicago was the first city dropped from the voting.
Hey, nobody’s saying that the President shouldn’t enjoy a little sports in his down time between golf games and running errands for the United Nations.
We’re just suggesting that our teams would like him just not to talk about it.

he is such a maroon.
I guess it takes a moron to call the president a maroon
Louis Stadlin,
Obviously you are too much of a maroon to know the literary origin of the term.

Lets hope he comes out for Butler.
Kelly you really showed your color with that remark. Did it make you feel good to say it?
Looking at the final four teams, I guess there are a lot of morons out there… Nobody is going to have half of these picks correct.
ESPN has reported two people on their system have the correct four teams… Two… Wow!
LOSER IN CHIEF.
