If the goal is government shutdown avoidance then let’s fight to be the one handing out as much money as Bernanke will print to give to friends and cronies.
If the goal is paying off the debt…
If the goal is allowing the US to prosper…
If the goal is to avoid chasing Zimbabwe…
Naah. What was I thinking?
If John Bohner and the GOP boys in DC want to cut spending, shut it all down.
They’ll see just how quickly they hear from the American public and the voters!
As John B likes to say, “So be it!!!”
opps forgot the “e” in Boehner…
@William Bailey
Never sure whether you are “being humorous” or not. But I think Obama and the Dems shouldn’t be timid. Let’s double the budget, hey quadruple it. The government can buy everyone’s home and business courtesy of Mr Bernanke. If the Repubs don’t like it and try to cut it by 5% well hey there will be a govt shutdown as you say.
We can see George Allen’s unforced errors and “out of touch” eliteism from DJ Spiker’s house! Yea, Gov/Sen. Allen’s daughter is suffering “diminished opportunities”. Yea right. All our daughters should suffer like his!
