By | Friday, February 18th, 2011 | Policy

The House of Representatives voted to defund Planned Parenthood — the nation’s largest abortion chain — on a bi-partisan vote of 240 to 185.

Outstanding.  On to the Senate!

    Don’t get your hopes up.

    This CR is DOA.

Yes, please keep this up. That laser focus on the economy and on job creation is a distant memory.

Libertarians are mostly in favor of defunding PP as well. We don’t believe YOUR tax dollars should be used to subsidize abortion.

By eliminating this unethical use of the taxpayer’s collective assets, we will be saving that expenditure and continue to focus on the economy and legitimate expenditures. Possibly saving even a couple of public sector jobs.

For those with devout religious opposition to abortion, they will no longer be stained through the confiscation of their wealth for what is seen as baby killing. DOA or not, defunding Planned Parenthood would be a good thing.

Btw, defunding PP was part of Libertarian James Quigley’s platform when he ran for Congress.
