Corey Stewart interested in Senate? “I am”
By | Friday, February 18th, 2011 | Politics

Appearing on Jimmy Barrett’s radio program this morning on WRVA, Prince William County Board of Supervisor’s chairman, Corey Stewart was directly asked if he was running for U.S. Senate. He initially said, “I am”, and then quickly clarified that he was thinking about it.

Stewart made the case that being an elected representative of a northern Virginia county of over 400,000 gives him a distinct advantage over other candidates.

He also pointedly said that George Allen has had his chance and that he, quite frankly, did not enjoy the Senate while he was there.

Corey, how do you know George “didn’t enjoy the senate”?

OP, George had delusions of running for president.. The senate was a mere stepping stone.. Seems he stepped in it alright.

I am fairly sure George Allen complained about it. He compared it to his more positive experience as Governor. The two positions are completely different animals. I’m sure a quote could probably be found.
