Bearing Drift endorses Bill Stanley in the 19th Senate District
By JR Hoeft | Sunday, November 21st, 2010 | PoliticsAttorney General Ken Cuccinelli, Senators Jill Vogel, Mark Obenshain, Ralph Smith, Steve Newman, Steve Smith, and Delegate Bob Marshall have all endorsed Bill Stanley’s campaign for the Republican nomination of the 19th State Senate District.
Not like we need to add our names to this list of conservative stalwarts for Stanley (and not like folks will care much anyway), but we will.
Among the candidates running in the 19th District, Stanley clearly has shown that he is committed to those conservative principles that all of us at Bearing Drift espouse: limited government, lower taxes, greater personal responsibility, and balanced budgets.
Whether it be in his capacity as an attorney or as the congressional district chairman (which, rightfully so, he intends to retain as a State Senator), Stanley has shown himself to be a man of principle. Even in the face of adversity – when doing the popular thing might have meant compromising his integrity (and risking future political gains), Stanley has “stayed the course” and done that which is right.
As a man of principle, conservatism, loyalty, and dedication; a man who has proved himself time and again to conservatives that he will not waiver when pressure is placed on him to either bow-out gracefully or ditch a client, it’s time Republicans rally around a man with a backbone.
If there is anyone who actually “deserves” our vote, it’s Bill Stanley.
