Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has given his endorsement to Franklin County Attorney Bill Stanley in the race to fill the Virginia Senate seat being vacated by Congressman-Elect Robert Hurt.
WSLS reports that the Attorney General stated the following in an e-mail,
“Virginia needs to elect more candidates to office who truly hold their conservative beliefs deep in their heart. Bill Stanley is a proven and committed conservative with a great track record of fighting — and winning — tough battles. I trust Bill Stanley, and know that he will work tirelessly in the Senate to promote our values and honor the core principles held in the U.S. and Virginia Constitutions,”
The firehouse primary will take place on November 23.
