While Virginia’s 8th Congressional District is predominately Democratic, it is appearing that many voters in this district are growing tired of Rep. Jim Moran’s service as Congressman. According to a recent article in The Daily Caller, Republican challenger Patrick Murray is gaining ground on Moran according to a poll conducted by McLaughlin & Associates. This poll showed Moran in the lead with 32.3 percent of the vote, followed by Murray at 29 percent of the vote, while 30.5 percent are undecided. The poll also revealed that Moran’s support below 50 percent.
Perhaps, it was Moran’s recent remarks about the military that has caused this sudden momentum towards Murray.
