Bearing Drift will be running in the next ezine a compilation of photos of campaign signs, shenanigans, and paraphernalia from around Virginia.
Send your favorite campaign photo (at least 640×480 pixels) not later than MONDAY to jr@bearingdrift.com

The “shenanigans” are pretty awful.
It takes a particularly craven character to be so fearful or resentful of an opponent’s message to pull or sandwich the opponent’s signs.
I hope that the prospect of pictures like the example above of this sort of thing causes the campaigns to get their volunteers to stop.
By their silence, Nye and Rigell condone this sign war behavior. Kenny Golden made it very clear early on that staff does not participate in sign wars and he goes out of his way to make sure his signs meet the city requirements to be at least 10 feet from the curb. At forums he respects and abides by the organizers rules regardless of how his opponents conduct their campaign. I seriously doubt you will hear Scotty make a public statement asking his volunteers to comply.
Man, you guys are serious. I thought this was funny, because it means so little.
We want all sorts of photos – handmade signs, signs with messages, people doing funny things with signs, professionally done billboards, etc.
Be creative!
Supposing that the Ezine has come out… do you have a link? Would be interesting to see the compilation of pictures.
