Food Bank – Debates/Forums for candidates
By Brian Kirwin | Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010 | PoliticsThe Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia is facing a critical shortage and we all should help.
I’m asking all campaigns, and those who are hosting debates or candidate forums from now until Election Day, to promote them as “Food Bank” events and accept non-perishable food donations or cash at these events.
Politics is politics, but helping those in need should be something everyone can agree on.
Candidates, if you’re debating, and hosts/sponsors, if you’re holding a debate, promote your event to help the Food Bank and let’s spend October helping those in a tight spot.

The right wants to jeer him. The left wants to censor him. Moderates usually want both. Kirwin’s columns stir up debate and hit the political scene with no punches pulled.

Thanks Brian; we will do the same at Runnymede and ask employees to bring in non-perishable food donations to send to the foodbank. MJB sends!
Thanks, Mike.
Great call Brian. I’m going to give money while it’s still tax deductable.
Great idea, Brian. I’ve updated my post to promote this as well.
Great idea!
Applause to Brian Kirwin.
Brian, what caused your change of heart? Did you go to church or something? You’re starting to sound so… liberal… you actually care about your fellow man!!!
Applause to Brian and I hope he continues down the path he has set a first footstep down.
You are rocking Brain! I really appreciate your hard work. I shall promote my future events to help the food bank. Hope this works and produce great results by this month end. God bless you
