I give BD credit for asking many of the right questions, but the article can be summarized by the following; if cities and counties want to fix transportaion, you are on your own. In fact, with representatives like Hugo, it appears that we don’t really need a Commonwealth anymore. His answer to transportation is for all of us to stay home. Fact is, when you have signed the no tax pledge, you really have tied your own hands behind your back. Next time you are stuck at a bridge or tunnel, remember Hugo and his caucus; it’s their fault.
While the Naval Station & and ODU extension study is not 100% funded, it is underway. What makes it slower is that multiple routes for extending north from Norfolk’s Starter Line need to be looked at in the Alternatives Analysis (AA) prior to a DEIS.
