Robinson gets GOP nod in 27th

Roxann Robinson won the Republican canvass to be the party nominee to replace Sam Nixon. Nixon resigned when appointed by Governor McDonnell to be the Chief Information Officer at the Virginia Information Technologies Agency.

Optometrist wins GOP nod in Chesterfield

Roxann Robinson, a Chesterfield County optometrist, won an easy victory yesterday over three opponents in a Chesterfield Republican canvass.

Vote tallies:

Roxanne Robinson 1,008

Sherman Litton 219

Brian Sullivan 210

Jason King 105

Robinson will face Democrat William Brown in the General Election.
