Perriello: “If you don’t tie our hands, we’ll keep stealing”
By JR Hoeft | Thursday, March 18th, 2010 | PolicyOK…Rep. Tom Perriello meant to impugn the entire congress when he said, “If you don’t tie our hands, we’ll keep stealing,” but more truer words were never spoken by the freshman legislator.
Whether it’s cap-and-trade, stimulus bills, or healthcare, the Congress has had their hands in the cookie jar since Jan. 2009, and now one of those legislators has owned up to it.
Perriello voted today with the Republicans against “deem and pass” (say it fast and it sounds like Demon Pass), but he should know all too well about progressive cash grabs. Perriello has voted for cap-and-trade, the stimulus, and the original House healthcare bill.
