Bearing Drift to launch Virginia political magazine

JR Hoeft | March 7, 2010 | Comments (5)

Bearing Drift, Virginia’s home for conservative news and information, will begin publishing a magazine to complement its already outstanding coverage of Virginia politics.

To start in that direction, we’ll begin with a monthly newsletter of our best and most exclusive content – including this month an interview with Governor Bob McDonnell, an analysis on health care and offshore wind energy production, biographical sketches of some freshmen legislators, and Ward Smythe’s original political cartoons.

You can sign-up to receive this newsletter by email. (Check out the sidebar on the right to sign up.)

Excellent idea! I look forward to reading the first issue and will be glad to offer perspective as a current School Board Member here in Portsmouth on eduational issues here in Hampton Roads.

  2. Dave Mastio says:

I can’t think of a better bunch to launch this project than you guys. Good luck.

  3. Steve Vaughan says:

So this is an online magazine? A Virginia-centric, conservative leaning “Slate?” The word “publish” sometimes confuses us old people, because it calls to mind the “dead-tree” media.

  4. J.R. Hoeft says:

Steve – if we can raise the capital, in time, this will also be print. Right now, it will begin as an “e-Zine”.

  5. Steve Vaughan says:

JR-That would be great. Good luck. I can tell you that it’s tough times out here for the print media.
