Outgoing HRT chief and light rail leader Michael Townes launched an attack on his Facebook account claiming he is the victim of racism.
Michael Townes Dishonorable politicians cannot change the many accomplishments that the superior staff at HRT has acheived while I have had the honor of leading them. In spite of scapegotting and racism I hav enothing but positive memories of the time I have spent improving public transportation in Hampton Roads. I am truly excited about what is in the future and I look ford to interacting with all my friends going forward. (Facebook)
Maybe light rail is 47% over budget because Townes has trouble spelling. What is scapegotting anyway?
Seriously, Townes is charging something extremely serious here. Is he filing discrimination charges? Does he have proof of his allegations?
If not, he’s playing on some pretty serious grounds, especially for someone still employed by the taxpayers through September.
