Oh, no! He wouldn’t.
By Ward Smythe | Thursday, January 7th, 2010 | Catch-AllOr would he? Rumors are traveling across the intertubz tonight that suggest that President Obama’s State of the Union Address could pre-empt the much anticipated return of ABC’s LOST on February 2. Right now, ABC seems to be sticking with the Groundhog Day premiere.
But is the Feburary 2nd premiere date significant? Doc Jensen who blogs about LOST for Entertainment Weekly, speculates on a ‘Lost’: Groundhog Day Conspiracy? Kyle at MTV Music offers an interesting Solution, and an even better graphic.
President Obama likes to be on television so much that he already prompted a move of American Idol last winter and pre-empted the Holy Grail of Christmas Specials, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” as recently as December.
So what is ABC to do? They can show an implausible fantasy where a charismatic leader of unknown origin manipulates facts and people for a desired outcome.
Or, they can show LOST.
