I think it is pretty important that Steve Hunt gets elected and keeps Ken Cuccinelli’s seat Republican. Especially if he’s a Cuccinelli type of conservative. I’m not from that area and don’t know enough about Steve Hunt, but since I’ve gotten literature in the mail from Cuccinelli staff supporting Steve Hunt, that is good enough to me. I was pleased that Steve in the VPOD address didn’t seem to think there was a social v. fiscal conservative thing. Many people are both. Those that are more one than the other will still have many common causes. There is no reason to project a rift that isn’t there. Clearly by his record, Ken Cuccinelli is both a social and fiscal conservative.
If the next state senator from that area is only a fraction of how wonderful Sen. Ken Cuccinelli was in office, Virginia will be well off. There just is no replacing a guy like Cuccinelli.
In any special election, getting out the vote will be more crucial than ever. Those of you in the 37th, please do you part to inform your fellow conservatives that there is a special election(Jan. 12th) and where/when to vote.
Merry Christmas from Virginia Beach!
