It is the republican Senators who have given power to democrats to force changes in the bill and to add benefits for their states. Had the party simply acknowledged that the Democrats has the votes, they could have actually empowered their party to act constructively to improve the Bill for all Americans. But no, the playbook now says to do all in the power of the minority to make our President look weak and ineffective. That is an all or nothing tactic that may benedit the republicans yet hurt our nation.
