Actually Brian, last time I checked, health care coverage for all, coverage in the face of pre existing conditions, respect for the doctor patient relationship, and cost containment through competition and negotiation, were not included in the definition of tyranny.

Mike, you really need to stop drinking in the morning.

Who thwarted anything? The Senate rules are the Senate rules. It's supposed stop, or at least slow down, tyranny.

Obviously from what you've written over the years, you have a problem with that.

Actually Brian, what is pathetic is the republican minority in the Senate using cloture to thwart the will of the majority. It is the republican Senators who have given power to democrats to force changes in the bill and to add benefits for their states. Had the party simply acknowledged that the Democrats has the votes, they could have actually empowered their party to act constructively to improve the Bill for all Americans. But no, the playbook now says to do all in the power of the minority to make our President look weak and ineffective. That is an all or nothing tactic that may benedit the republicans yet hurt our nation. What else is new from the party of No.

Hey Warner and Webb. There's still this little WORST RECESSION IN A GENERATION going on. People are unemployed, underemployed and hurting.

At Christmas, you'll be able to come home and say "You still don't have a job, but you have to buy health insurance, and maybe you'll qualify for a subsidy. We're raising taxes to pay for it. But you still don't have a job. And I'm a centrist."

Pathetic.

I take it that he is upset that if they were going to support it anyway that they were too stupid to get something out of it. He would rather they not support it at all.

So, you're upset that Warner and Webb didn't feign resistance in an effort to add pork to the health care reform bill?
