I am surprised and impressed with these comments. I am pleased to see so much grace on the part of those who were not victorious. That goes for Rosemary Wilson and her supporters/BD commenters.

7k voters in a primary with no follow on race and horrible weather is spectacular. Good job to both campaigns for driving turnout and again I say congrats to our nominee. Hard nosed primaries are one thing but you ALWAYS support the nominee.

Fantastic job by McWaters. His message on health care and creating jobs was right in line with his experience and the message being delivered by Bob McDonnell. He ran a good race and we’re going to be lucky to have him as part of the Hampton Roads contingent in the State Senate.

Congratulations to Jeff and his team. They brought out their vote and won the canvass. Make sure to turn those campaign promises into legislative and fiscal reality. The people of the 8th State Senatorial District deserve no less! Hats off to Rosemary as well…she did a great job of running on principle and experience. Now onto 2010 and all of the challenges that await us!
