Come in the pool! The McWaters fine!
By | Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 | Politics

After Creigh Deeds tried to convince us to put everything on the table, Jeff McWaters, President Obama and Congressional Democrats want us all to get in the pool!

C’mon everyone! Get forced by law into the health care pool and get “managed!”

    Sounds like socialism to me.

I just heard a commercial of Mcwaters whining that he does not support mandated health care….. so not only is he a chauvinist, a fraud , and an elitist but he is a giant liar on top of all that.

That’s just what we need in Richmond….

  3. Bigvinu December 1, 2009 20:16 pm

Yes, because that’s clearly ‘evil’ to want. I’m non angry about what he said, I’m angry about him denying he ever said it.

Well folks you have a church elder who started and owned a company who paid for women to have abortions. So I guess your business doesn’t have to share your own personal ethics I guess. Christ sure didn’t have a great opinions of the money changers in his Father’s house now did he? If the man can set aside his own personal faith for money as he did with Amerigroup what will he set aside when the lobbyists come calling in Richmond.

I’m not sure why I’m bothering, because it just seems to be the same group on here all the time, and I doubt anyone cares about your sour-grapes opinions that you are trying to pass off as facts. Amerigroup did NOT pay for abortions, McWaters is opposed to government-run health care, and he has more ethics in his little finger than the group of you have combined. You should all be ashamed of yourselves, especially you, Talley, trying to imply that Christ would disapprove. I have no doubt that He is pleased with McWaters in his life and his business. If I were any of you, intentionally using lies to try to discredit an honorable man, I would be worried when it’s time to meet the Maker.

Susan, your blind loyalty to Jeff in the face of overwhelming facts and evidence must be the result of a really nice paycheck.

  7. Abortions? Where? Evidence? December 2, 2009 00:45 am

So where exactly do you see AMERIGROUP paying for abortions? Last time I checked they contracted with the federal government through Medicaid and the feds won’t allow their money to be used for abortions. Got some credible source that says otherwise?

Oh by the way Susan I didn’t mean to imply… I really don’t think He would approve. Let’s get that point straight.

  10. Kathy Mateer December 2, 2009 08:10 am

Susan, let Aaron and the guys have fun in their echo chamber while we have a victory party for Jeff. Life is too short.

  11. Mary December 2, 2009 08:19 am

This race seems to be getting more and more interesting… I don’t dislike Jeff, but I have to agree with Lee. It’s in black and white that the abortions were processed through Amerigroup. But then again, the govt doesn’t ban all funds being used for them. It’s one of the things I wish was the first to be changed in our healthcare system.

  12. Kathy Mateer December 2, 2009 08:58 am

Mary, sin is sin. Christ paid the same price for all sin.

Exodus 20:2–17 (16) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

My great problem I have in this race is Rosemary Wilson linking Jeff McWaters to Obamacare. She even put out a flier with Obama’s picture and Jeff on it. When I first looked at it at a Republican breakfast, my impression of the flier was the only thing she didn’t do was draw horns on Jeff. Very deceiving.

I find it amazing that the editorial in Virginia Pilot today was able to perfectly understand Jeff’s position on Obamacare but these guys can’t.

I can’t support anyone who slanders in order to win at any cost.

  13. Brian Kirwin December 2, 2009 09:15 am

Oh really, like that email someone wrote for Jeff this morning about Catholics?

  14. Kathy Mateer December 2, 2009 11:35 am

GO OBAMA!!!!!!!! I SUPPORT THE PREZZZ!!!!

  15. Aaron G December 2, 2009 11:46 am

    Well that settles it. lol

  16. Kathy Mateer December 2, 2009 11:51 am

My VERY unfunny 17 year old daughter posted that last one. No car for her!!!!

  17. Jason Sadler December 2, 2009 12:15 pm

I didn’t hear about the abortions, but his company did get hit with a good $300M for secretly denying coverage to pregnant women while receiving federal funds.

  18. Jason December 2, 2009 13:46 pm

A 10-second sound bite taken out of context and a glossy hit-piece featuring Obama should not be enough to sway a conscientious voter.

I support Jeff McWaters because he is a real conservative and not a professional politician. He will bring common sense and business accumen to Richmond. The last thing we need is another career politician that can’t let go.

  19. Kathy Mateer December 2, 2009 14:16 pm

The whole package of Jeff McWaters is refreshing and we need more people like him to bring Virginia back in the black fiscally. Jeff has been a strong supporter of the Republican Party, has served his family, church and community steadfastly and has the business acumen to cut through the waste. His common sense approach is what we need for such a time as this.

  20. Mike Barrett December 2, 2009 14:28 pm

Perhaps Kathy, you are unaware that it was republican Jim Gilmore who ran the Commonwealth into the ground, and it was only the effort of Governor Warner who brought the Commonwealth back from the brink of bankruptcy. So let’s look at this situation, not with rose colored glasses, but with spectacles that see the truth. It will take a bipartisan effort of the Governor, the Senate, and the House to tackle the budget, and more importantly, establishing funding for transportation

  21. James December 2, 2009 14:50 pm

    Jason,

A 10 second soundclip of him talking about “managing everyone” I don’t know how much more in context it could be.

  22. J.M. Ripley December 3, 2009 09:03 am

If you have a plumbing problem you call a plumber,an electrical problem an electrician, when you have a political problem you want a “career politiician”! Vote Rosemary Wilson on December 5th.
