I have been very outspoken on this not just recently on my campaign, but for the past number of years. I believe very strongly that the democrat sponsored plan, currently before the Senate, is very bad for America. In fact, as I have stated on the campaign trail and off, the current Obama-Pelosi-Democrat plan will set us back decades in providing quality, affordable and accessible care. For my opponent to say that I am in favor of government controlled healthcare-“Obamacare”- is preposterous, and an outright falsehood. Healthcare in America is too important to be left up to the government to manage. Private enterprise and the competitive free market is the best and only way to provide access to quality, affordable care. We proved that in 14 states with AMERIGROUP! I am not a politician, and I don’t make campaign promises about decreasing the size and scope of government and cutting costs without the record to back it up. I have actually done it. When I was in the Air Force, the Iranian hostage crisis was in full force. Thank God they were afraid of Reagan and let them go. We have unemployment at a high not seen in decades and growing higher everyday. We have a socialist president bankrupting our children and for me, my five grandchildrens' future. It also makes me sad that over half my life is over and Republicans can't find unity and be civil to each other. After 30 years of voting and supporting Republicans, I am tired of dirty politics.
