It took less than two minutes to disprove Max’s theory that Carlyle runs the defense industry. From their corporate website:

Max, shut the F up. You are a major goofball.

And yes, Max. The fact that Nye’s middle name is Carlyle is a coincidence. Not proof of some global plot to elect pro-Israeli sympathizers to Congress.

Perhaps try going skiing with Nye and Gary. I bet they’d love your two handed ski pole hj.

Not sure I would vote for a guy just becuase he gives money over a 20 year period to Republicans. What has he done for the conservative cause in that 20 years? What has his standing been in the party itself, has he been a leader in the party or a johnny come lately, just because he wants to run for congress? I am not saying this to bash Rigell, who I am sure is a nice guy and succesful business man, but these are questions that need answers when I evaluate EACH candidate to give my support to.

I don’t think the argument is proper to say Rigell is an Obama supporter. The real issue is his judgement. $1010 is not just chump change. Sure he has given to many republicans. The explanation has been an anti-Hillary one, but Rigell himself also state that he was inspired by Barack’s rhetoric. Link is below. His donations were doubled by himself. 130 individuals, 15 or more that our family and extended family, that were maxed out to 4800 dollars, half of that he can’t even use until a general. I’m sure he can raise plenty of money though. he was annointed by thelma, who was also annointed, and who also benefits financially fundraising for him. I want someone who will serve and sacrifice for me, not a handpicked guy who had to be talked into running.

Carlyle makes there money off of American dominance in the world. Kind of a patriotic way to make a buck isn’t it. America is the only superpower left and nature abhors a vacuum so why not have America run the world. I find that to be pleasant thing if you ask me.

Kerwin’s statement (written with a straight face I assume) that Rigell is an Obama supporter just guts his own credibility. By this reasoning, Kerwin would also write that “Rush Limbaugh is a Hillary Clinton supporter.” Come on Kerwin are you for real?

Scott Rigell has the name identification, financial support in the community, conservative credentials, grassroots support and drive to beat Glenn Nye.

Nye has got to be terrified of going up against a Scott Rigell who is known in the community, was only 1 of 5 Republican challengers nationwide to outraise an incumbent Democrat from individual contributors, Rigell is a solid conservative business leader with a winning message. If we want to win … I think the choice is obvious.

We should all be a part of vetting candidates not just a few who have heard said rumors. If there are serious issues to be addressed then address them. The check is a ridiculous argument against Rigell, but if there is something more deleterious to our party let it be heard. If there are unsubstantiated rumors then don’t repeat that there are rumors it implies something mendacious and amounts to salacious gossip. We don’t need another surprise revelation of a candidate when the ship is out to sea. If people have facts then let’s confront them head on. If there are rumors, then ask the man at the source and if he lies then he must be held accountable. This isn’t a difficult thing to do. We should expect more from our politicians and those expectations begin with us. Hold yourself accountable and hold your candidate accountable. You’ll find many Rigell supporters will back down if there is truth to the rumors; however, if there is just innuendo and slander then the field has no shot. Be careful in your speech. People will judge you by it.

Max is an absolute, self-hating jewish person. Time to ban him again. Max, you loser, Carlyle is no longer invested in defense companies. Look it up.

And to all others, accepting Nye or even talking about accepting Nye into the GOP is preposterous. We’ve already had a gay GOP congresman in VA-2. We don’t need another one. We can defeat this queer Nye and get a real Republican easily in 2010.

I say ditch Nye. A donation is a donation, Scott Rigell must support Obama or he wouldn’t have donated. I expect VA-2 to also be part of the National Republican Sweep but with Scott Taylor. He has supporters on all sides and is issue based, doesn’t just say what other politicians want him to say!! GO TAYLOR!!

Getting back to Brian’s point – if the Progressives are going to throw anyone under the bus because they don’t march lock step with the progressive-Socialist-Marxist agenda then why would they support Glenn Nye? He isn’t voting – or taking a strong “Progressive” position on Tax & Trade, Obama-care, and many other Progressive schemes.

Just as true Conservatives did not support RINO John McCain, and he lost – will the same fate await Glenn Nye?

Perhaps. But the issue is hanging in the balance depending on who the GOP leadership will manipulate the process to cornate they 2nd Congressional Distric GOP candidate.

If the GOP picks a cadidate that they feel will “attrack moderates and Democrats” then they will once again lose out because the true Conservatives will simply not SUPPORT another RINO.
