Seriously? Virginia has too many of these tiny counties. Counties were drawn in the age of horse and buggies so that a person could get to the courthouse and back home in one day. How ridiculous does that sound in 2009? Tiny counties means we waste millions, tens of millions on overhead. Too many sheriffs, revenue commissioners, treasurers, county managers and their deputies and so on and so on. Shaun, if you're serious about fiscal responsibility, try to merge your county with a couple others and massively reduce overhead, and taxes! 2 precincts. Seriously?
