Pete…didn’t get a chance to, but I know the event organizers were well aware of the disappointment by the protesters. Of course, given the track record regarding NRA and 2nd Amendment issues of those elected officials that were at the event, and I mean no disrespect, I think the protest was a bit misguided.

Good article. Did you interview any of those protesters out front? I had planned on attending in support of Mr. Cantor, yet I had to remain outside with those crazy protesters as the venue chosen wouldn’t allow me to attend because of my legally carried firearm. Did Eric speak about his support of the 2nd Amendment? I hope so. Maybe I will attend next year. Hopefully, the GOP will choose a venue that allows me to attend with my legally carried firearm. After all, they do support my right to carry, right? ……right?

We didn’t receive our announcement until today’s mail was delivered. If this was typical, then many people didn’t hear about the event in time to make plans.
