Joe Bouchard goes overboard with negative ads
By Brian Kirwin | Wednesday, October 14th, 2009 | Catch-AllDel. Joe Bouchard, Director of Government Sales for Cox Communications (nice job for a legislator, huh? Hey Virginian-Pilot! While picking on Tommy Norment for teaching classes, why not look at these Democrat jobs in YOUR OWN READERSHIP AREA). I wonder what governments Del. Bouchard sells to, and what his position on the FINANCE committee (where all aid to localities is voted on) has to do with his “government sales.”
Anyway, Bouchard has raised the “desperate” flag and is running a TV ad that was so wretched and mean-spirited, not to mention wrong, that the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association fired off a two page letter itemizing the inaccuracies of Bouchard’s 30-second bomb.
Least of which, Bouchard misrepresented Chris Stolle, his job, his title, his duties and the hospital’s record of service. They asked the cable salesman to pull this particular attack from the airwaves.
I guess the ad saying “Hi. I’m Joe Bouchard, and I’m a cable TV salesman” just wasn’t sexy enough.
Or “I’m Joe Bouchard, and I voted to raise sales taxes on my district 25%”

Joe Bouchard was the guitarist’s name for Blue Oyster Cult. Can we say Joe, Don’t fear the reaper!
That arrogant prick, Bouchard. He’s toast, too.
Wow! Even Andy Fox is saying Bouchard is lying.

I do believe that the hospital employing Dr. Stolle is a rather large customer of Del Bouchard’s employer, Cox Communications. And I would imagine they are none too happy with the very public accusations. I wonder if there could be any fallout in their telecommunications vendor choices as a result…
