Dems ditching Deeds
By Brian Kirwin | Monday, October 5th, 2009 | PoliticsEr, ah, uhm, eh, oh.
That’s what national Democrats are saying about Virginia and Creigh Deeds (Politico).
New Jersey? Democratic Governors Association chairman and Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer – “Corzine wins.”
Virginia? “I don’t which way that one ends,” Schweitzer said.
Another senior Democrat was more blunt. “I feel great about New Jersey, everything is moving in the right direction,” said this source.
Without being prompted, the Democrat added: “Virginia – not as much.”
Creigh Deeds won the Democrat primary by being more likable than Terry McAuliffe and less liberal than Brian Moran, just like..oh….just about everyone else in the state.
Oddly, Deeds has adopted his rivals’ chief flaws. He’s gone more negative then McAuliffe could ever dream, and he’s backed tax increases with a Moran-like passion.
Politico reports “Top Democrats have concerns over both the Virginia Democrat and his campaign, especially their near-blanket focus on the controversial graduate school thesis penned by McDonnell.”
No kidding? Any chance Deeds is going to offer anything but negatives attacks on McDonnell?
“Why stop what’s working?” said a Deeds source in the article.
That’s the funny part. The Deeds campaign is convinced they’re on the right track.
“If I were in their shoes and had a candidate who fumbled the tax question and was stupid enough to write an op-ed saying I’m going to raise your taxes, I’d be complaining about [the environment], too.” Top Democrat
National Dems $$$$ are heading to Jersey. So is Biden, Barack, and the first lady?
Virginia?
uhm………..

Interesting point also brought up by Jim Geraghty at Campaign Spot regarding Obama and Deeds:
Let me expose myself.
If I lived in New Jersey, I would vote for “any of the above” in opposition to Corzine.
Corzine proposed an 800% increase in New Jersey’s tolls. Meanwhile New Jersey has rules affecting truck drivers that highly favor intrastate commerce while negatively affecting interstate commerce. Interstate commerce must take the tollway while New Jersey’s commerce is allowed to take alternate routes. Corzine himself clearly stated that this increase was motivated to get none New Jersey travelers and consumers to pay up.
I voted for Creigh Deeds in Virginia. If I was a resident of New Jersey, my vote would be cast for anybody but Corzine.
Of course the Democrats are gonna take all of that money from the lost hope of a Democratic Governor in Virginia and move it to a state where they don’t have to worry about the social conservatives across the state. This has been evident with Deeds fanatical tirade against Bob McDonell.
I just saw the Deeds campaign and their roll out of the Sportsmen for Deeds. In this this roll out Creigh Deeds himself talks about “Sunday Hunting” as a way to stimulate the economy. Apparently Creigh didn’t understand the whole part of the bible about going to Church when the saints gather. If this actually happens, there would be so many horrible effects on our families. Most significantly on our young Christian men who love to hunt. This is all about the Democrats and their Liberal agenda to destroy the faith of Christians, and therefore make more Democrats.
I know Bob would never support anything like this, because just like all of us, he doesn’t want the Liberal/socialist/gay agenda to be spread to our kids like Barack Hussein Obama is doing in our classrooms.
Please help us take a stand against sunday hunting!
[...] national Dems are realizing exactly what is going on in Virginia and thanking their lucky stars for New Jersey, a complete 180 from this summer. Now that Corzine [...]
