Deeds at odds with Kaine over state employee pensions?
By JR Hoeft | Thursday, September 17th, 2009 | PoliticsCreigh Deeds has been campaigning all summer on “continuing the Kaine and Warner” legacy of governing in Virginia (you know, higher taxes, massive budget deficits, etc.), however, yesterday Contemporary Conservative points out that Deeds is breaking from Gov. Tim Kaine over the pension plan for state employees.
“Maximus” writes that Deeds, in the span of several hours, went from supporting Kaine’s policy of slashing the state’s contributions to the Virginia Retirement System to “admonishing” Kaine over the policy.
Once again, this is more evidence of Deeds failing to get his story straight…or saying one thing to one group and something else to another.
